Die 24 bekannten und leicht spielbaren Traditionals eignen sich für Gitarrenspielerinnen und - spieler jeder Altersstufe, die erste Erfahrungen mit ihrem Instrument gesammelt haben. Bei allen Stücken besteht die Möglichkeit, zwischen zwei Versionen zu wählen. Wer solo spielt, kann die Melodien der ersten zehn Traditionals mit ungegriffenen Bässen und die restlichen Titel mit leichten gegriffenen Bässen musizieren. Die Melodien bewegen sich immer in I. und II. Lage. Beim Duo kann die Melodie sowohl von der 1. Gitarre als auch von einem anderen Instrument (Flöte, Violine etc.) gespielt werden. Die (2.) Founding a guitar club, making music together, perhaps even playing with friends or at music school: it all sounds exciting and promises great fun. ‘Fridolin's Guitar Club’ is aimed primarily at guitarists who want to start playing in a group as early as possible. The second volume of ‘Fridolin goes Pop’ begins with two lightly set traditional pieces with the feel of a ragtime blues. In all the following titles, the guitaristic demands are significantly higher. In addition to many changes of position, barré fingerings are required, as well as upstrokes and downstrokes, polyphonic playing and elaborate chord breakdowns. The rhythms common in pop music also require a confident handling of syncopation and off-beats. However, this should not cause any difficulties for experienced guitarists, especially as the recordings of the well-made pieces on the CD invite you to listen to them ‘just for fun’ and thus encourage you to play along and repeat them. Scandinavia - A journey through the Nordic countries This time, Fridolin and Katrin travel through Norway with its fjords and skerries, roam through the forests of Sweden, discover the vast lake landscapes of Finland, marvel at the fantastic play of colours of the Northern Lights and indulge themselves in comparatively small Denmark. The often rugged landscapes of Scandinavia, nature and the sea leave indelible impressions. We encounter graceful folk songs, heartfelt melodies, but also lively dances full of joie de vivre. Songs from France and Canada In France, the theme of love naturally occupies a special place, but there are also sailor and soldier songs, ballads, romances and cheerful children's songs that Fridolin and Katrin get to know on their journey.
