The Recorder Quartet Book II presents a selection of works for recorders from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods. The collection includes compositions by Frescobaldi, Banchieri, Fischer, Corelli, Purcell, Scarlatti, Fux, Vivaldi, Telemann, Rameau, Handel, Gluck, Haydn, J. C. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Bruckner and Komzák. The collection is complemented by a composition by Ulrich Herrmann, who edited the volume.
The works are arranged for four recorders in different combinations, including SATB and other recorder combinations. The edition thus comprises a varied repertoire for recorder quartet.
The edition is suitable for teaching, ensemble work and concert performance.
