Scandinavia - A journey through the Nordic countries This time, Fridolin and Katrin travel through Norway with its fjords and skerries, roam through the forests of Sweden, discover the vast lake landscapes of Finland, marvel at the fantastic play of colours of the Northern Lights and indulge themselves in comparatively small Denmark. The often rugged landscapes of Scandinavia, nature and the sea leave indelible impressions. We encounter graceful folk songs, heartfelt melodies, but also lively dances full of joie de vivre. The aim of Let's rag... is to make ragtime music accessible to a large number of instrumentalists. The choice of easy-to-play keys and the shortening of the original length to a manageable two piano pages per ragtime allows players to realise these arrangements without time-consuming preparation. The advantages of the Let's rag arrangements include the simplification of the rhythmic notation by doubling the note values from 2/4 time to alla breve 4/4 time. This means that even instrumentalists with less playing experience can enjoy this lively music. For individual and group lessons ‘Playing the violin is fun!’ is the motto of the Susi and Eddi violin school. With lots of attractive illustrations and a well thought-out pedagogical concept, it meets the needs not only of younger children. Using monophonic and polyphonic pieces, including many well-known children's songs, folk songs and canons, the basics of melody and ensemble playing are learnt in a playful way. The funny little monkeys Susi and Eddi are on hand to give violin students tips and tricks and ensure that even the smaller learning steps remain exciting. Die in der Popmusik übliche Rhythmik setzt außerdem einen sicheren Umgang mit Synkopen und Off-Beats voraus. Doch dies sollte versierten Gitarristen keine Schwierigkeiten bereiten, zumal die Einspielungen der gut gelungenen Stücke auf der CD dazu einladen, "einfach nur so" gehört zu werden und dadurch zum Mit- und Nachspielen anregen.
